研究方向為早期胚胎發(fā)育中的譜系調控、利用全能性細胞構建類(lèi)胚胎和功能性組織、利用干細胞進(jìn)行同種或異種嵌合。首次開(kāi)發(fā)了全能性人8細胞樣細胞誘導體系,并從多組學(xué)層面完整地描繪了誘導過(guò)程中的關(guān)鍵分子事件和基因調控網(wǎng)絡(luò );通過(guò)優(yōu)化多能干細胞培養體系和胚胎嵌合技術(shù),首次實(shí)現了腎臟發(fā)育缺陷豬體內再造人源化中腎組織;首次獲得具有高嵌合率的猴-猴嵌合活體的制備;篩選出調控人原始態(tài)多能干細胞分化為人滋養外胚層細胞的關(guān)鍵因子。以(共)第一或通訊作者在Nature(Nature Methods發(fā)表專(zhuān)評)、Cell(封面文章,Nature發(fā)表專(zhuān)評)、Cell Stem Cell(封面文章,Science發(fā)表專(zhuān)評)、Nature Cell Biology、Nature Communications等高水平雜志發(fā)表相關(guān)成果,相關(guān)成果獲得新華社、人民日報、泰晤士報、衛報、紐約時(shí)報等國內外媒體廣泛報道。
